The Monroe County Board of Commissioners issued a Disaster Declaration for Monroe County beginning on March 17th due to the threat posed by COVID-19.  The emergency declaration has been extended through April 16th, 2020.

Monroe County Government’s primary concern is the safety and health of program participants and park users. With that in mind, all County parks will be temporarily closed until further notice.

The Limestone Greenway, Karst Farm Greenway, and Bloomington trails are OPEN for public use. We recommend the public go outside and take a walk on the greenways, trails, & sidewalks.  Remember to keep 6’ away from other walkers.

Parks & Facilities that are temporarily closed:  Karst Farm Park, Karst Athletic Complex, Karst Dog Park, Flatwoods Park, Flatwoods Drone Zone, Jackson Creek Park, Will Detmer Park, & Detmer Gardens.
